ADULT DAY PROGRAMS

Are you looking for a safe, nurturing and loving place for a mature adult who needs day time supervision? Is the strain of caring for a parent or spouse impacting on the quality of life you have with your loved one?

Look no further. We improve the quality of life for adults and their caregivers by providing a sensible, affordable alternative to residential care. Our Always There experienced staff will ensure that days are filled with home cooked meals, a variety of supervised recreational and therapeutic programs in a safe and caring atmosphere. At the day’s end ~ your loved one comes back home.

Always There Adult Day Program in Ulster County
(918 Ulster Avenue, Kingston, New York) and Dutchess County (1192 Centre Road, Rhinebeck, New York) provide mature adults with fulfilling and engaging day time activities, hot meals and camaraderie ~ while giving you peace of mind knowing that they are safe. The respite we provide caregivers, enables families to enjoy quality time together. Our Always There Adult Day Programs promote a home-like atmosphere, offering a bright, clean, and cheery environment. Among the Center’s amenities are accessible handicapped bathrooms, including one with a handicapped accessible shower(Ulster Location Only), and a laundry room(Ulster Location Only). Caregivers are encouraged to tour the facility and attend our support groups. A free guest day is offered to see if the program is right for you.

ACTIVITIES
Always There’s team of program professionals plan and facilitate simultaneous activities which give participants the opportunity to choose activities that capture their interest. These self-expressive activities create great conversation and socialization throughout the day. The Always There Activity Programs provide unique and fun recreational activities and events designed to stimulate the mind and body, encourage socialization, and reduce stress, loneliness, and depression.

EXERCISE
Always There’s quality staff  has developed a daily plan of care for each participant that encourages active involvement and the highest quality of life possible.
Exercise includes healthy, social and therapeutic activities like:

• Wii Sports 
• Yoga

GROUP DISCUSSIONS
Our Always There’s Adult Day Programs are designed to provide a safe, caring, comfortable environment with stimulating conversations, group discussions and socialization. These daily discussions help promote socialization, security, fun and laughter.

FIELD TRIPS
Our Always There’s Site Director plans field trips based on the abilities and interests of the participants attending the center.

MEALS 
Always There’s very own Chef Chris is at our Kingston site five days a week. His home cooked meals are delicious and meet all of the New York State Child and Adult Care Food Program dietary guidelines. Clients are provided with both a morning snack and lunch daily.

SUPPORT GROUPS 
Always There & The Alzheimer's Association is offering new educational and support programs for caregivers and individuals with early-stage Alzheimer's disease and related disorders.  Click here for more INFORMATION.

TRANSPORTATION
Door-to-door transportation to and from the Ulster County (Kingston Location) Always There Day Program may be provided. Our vehicles are equipped with wheel chair lifts. Our drivers are certified by the Community Transportation Association of America’s CTAA -PASS Certification Program.

SHOWERS
Sometimes it is difficult for mature adults to shower or bath at home. Our staff can assist in showers, sponge baths and personal grooming while at the center.
