FAQ’s

Q: Do you do background checks on all of your employees?

A: All professional credentials, such as state licenses, are verified. New York State Department of Health requires all Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aides be fingerprinted and run through the FBI system.

Q:  Do I need a referral from my doctor?

A: An order from a physician is required for services to be provided. Your physician can call the office and make a referral directly. If you wish to speak with one of our Intake staff about the types of services available first, the RN can then contact your physician for the orders.

Q: How do I pay for the services?

A: Always There accepts direct payment from Medicare, Medicaid, most major insurance companies, and long term insurance companies. Depending on your insurance, you may be responsible for a copay. You may also pay for the services directly. Always There staff will discuss your options with you. Some insurances, such as Medicare, have strict criteria regarding what is a covered service.

Q: Where are your services available?

A: Always There is located in Kingston, New York and provides services to the mid-Hudson Valley.

Q: What kinds of insurance do you accept?

A: Medicaid, Medicare, HMO’s, HMO–Managed Medicaid, HMO–Managed Medicare, Commercial Insurance and Private Pay.

Q: Is transportation available for the day programs?

A: For an additional fee, Always There will provide round trip transportation to the center within a 15 mile radius. Both centers have a wheel chair accessible bus.

Q: How do I know I am going to like the Day Program?

A: You can spend a full day with us. Just call 845.339.6683 to make arrangements for your visit.

Q: Can I tour the Day Program?

A: Certainly. You can stop by any time between 9am and 3pm at either the Kingston location at 107 Greenkill Avenue or the Ellenville location at 221 Canal Street.

Q: How soon can I arrange for home health services if I need them?

A: Home health services can be arranged within 24 hours from the time we speak to your physician.

Q: Do you accept credit cards?

A: Yes, we accept Visa or Mastercard.
